Getting Bats Out of the Attic
Bats in the attic can be a source of pain and problems. They bring with them diseases, droppings, and damage, like any other wild animal. Getting them out is imperative for your own safety and health.
Getting them out, though, might seem like a difficult task. When you are uncertain of what to do, you might feel lost and confused. You want them out, but how do you go about doing it?
There are some trusted and effective methods of bat removal out there. These will do the job without harming the bats and will be quick. There is no reason to worry or stress, not with the options available to you.
Trapping
Trapping is a somewhat popular option for all types of animals. However, it might not be the most effective method for bats. You can trap them, but there is no guarantee that it will work.
If you would like to try, you only need a trap built for bats and some bait. Put it in the attic and wait for the bats to enter. Once they do, you can go in and remove them.
There are better options out there, though, and one that is far easier, too.
Exclusion
Exclusion traps and funnels are, by far, the best way to deal with bats. You set up an exclusion trap or funnel at the entry point, where the bats are entering and exiting your attic, and let it do its job.
When the bats leave to get food, they will go through the exclusion trap to the outdoors. When they want to go back in, that same trap will not allow them to reenter. It works exceptionally well, when built properly, and will have all bats gone within a day or two most likely.
After They Leave
After you get the bats out, you want to seal up all entry points into your attic. These entry points are how the bats get in, and so long as they remain there is a risk of bats coming back. There is a risk of all types of animals getting in to your attic.
Seal up entry points, clean up the attic, disinfect and deodorize, and fix up any damage. Keep your attic clean and without health hazards.
Bats do not have to be a constant problem for you. There are ways to remove them and you can manage this easily.
